A marine surveyor is a person
with his professional skills and experience to conducts inspections, surveys or
examinations of ships, boats, cargoes and the sea to assess monitor and issued
an objective report, factual opinion of the condition object surveyed
A marine surveyor with his
professional principles as the primary goal shall use reasonable care and skill
in the performance of the services in accordance with sound marine surveying or
consulting practice
The marine surveyor “works for”
the individual or business entity hiring him such as ship’s owners, charterer,
sub charterer, Insurance, cargo buyer, cargo shipper, shipyards and other
parties related with marine business
INTRODUCTION
First of all, Let me introduce
myself, my name is Amir Hamzah as a marine surveyor, my currently hold position
as Freelance Marine Surveyor for various Indonesia surveyor companies. I began
my carrier as marine surveyor in 1995 at PT. Superintending Company of
Indonesia (Sucofindo)
I have developed substantial
personal experiences and knowledge through professional working experiences for
various Indonesian surveyor companies from 1995 to present time. During the
time period of my services with the below various companies, I have gained and
exposed to many kinds of Surveys experiences related to P&I-Related Tasks,
Investigations, Insurance Matters, Marine Industry, Mining, etc.
Since 1997 I have been working
as a freelance marine surveyor, since the time period until present time, I am
often hired by the Indonesian surveyor companies with Jakarta head office even
Singapore Marine Surveyor Company to handling their job order for East
Kalimantan and South Kalimantan areas.
However, I also developed a
private business in accordance with the applicable standard marine survey with
reference to customer satisfaction
